Christian - CCIE
Christian Marchetti, born in Modena in 1979, graduated in Accounting in 1999. He constantly changed jobs: in Italy, in London as dishwasher, and in Canada as bartender and waiter for almost two years. In 2005, he came back to Italy and worked part-time at a hotel as a doorman during the night, and part-time in construction.
He wasn’t happy with these jobs, so he sought training to begin a new career. At the end he chose Europa Networking because the Instructor’s competence and the lab’s facilities were what he was looking for, and it offers the Cisco CCNA course too. To afford the course, he has got a bank funding: it’s been an important commitment, but Christian was keen of networking and his progresses were extraordinarily rapid. After completing the CCNA course, he continued with the CCNP courses, then with Security, CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate) and finally with the CCIE RS Written (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Routing and Switching) and CCIE R&S bootcamp..
He left his old job and soon began working as a consultant at Alenia Aeronautica. In 2006, thanks to the certifications, he became an Engineer at Page Europe, based in Roma and part of General Dynamics Group, a company that provides integrated high-tech solutions. "I had the pleasure of meeting a great Artist", says Christian about his teacher Rocco.
Expectations for the future: "If I continue in this way, it might only get better, even if I already feel great satisfaction with the implementation of international networks!"
Now Christian is CCIE routing and switching certified. He has just passed his lab exam in Belgium in May 2010.
